Shipping

Lord & Taylor offers a flat fee of $14.95 for shipping on all orders less than $250 and free shipping on orders above $250!
As we utilize various vendors, shipping times and rates may vary accordingly. Orders will ship within 24-48 hours. In case of specialty items they will be shipped according to the vendors schedule and might take 5 days to ship. Orders placed after 5 PM EST on Friday will ship the next business day. Express shipping availability and rates vary based on each vendor.
Our system is designed to fulfill all orders as quickly and efficiently as possible. Once an order is placed, we are unable to make edits as they quickly route to our fulfillment partners.
Lord & Taylor currently ship to the 48 contiguous United States. We do not offer international shipping at this time and do not offer shipping to APO/FPO or PO boxes.

Shipping Restrictions & Surcharges

Beauty items: Certain items (aerosols, pressurized spray cans, alcohol-based products such as hairspray, nail polish, nail polish remover, shaving cream, etc.) must be shipped via Standard Ground Shipping due to U.S. Department of Transportation regulations. These items are not eligible for Express or Overnight Shipping.
Oversized items: Oversized items may incur a delivery surcharge which will be displayed in the cart.
Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking fee may be applied to returns of these items only if its written the product page.

Returns & Exchanges

Eligible items purchased on https://lordandtaylor.com/ can be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase.
The vendor determined shipping fee will be calculated at the time you create your RMA (return merchandise authorization) and will be deducted from your original merchandise amount refund. Original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

All returned items must meet the following requirements:

  • Return New Items Only: All items must be unworn, unwashed, undamaged, and in original packaging
  • Remember to Keep the Tags on: Please remember to keep all tags on if you want to return the item. If you return an item without the original hang tag attached, the return will not be processed.

Additional Return Rules:

  • Footwear: Footwear must be returned in its original shoebox, and the shoebox must be shipped inside another shipping box. Shipping labels must not be affixed directly to the shoebox.
  • Jewelry and Watches: Fine jewelry and watches must be returned in new condition with all original packaging, certificates, and documentation. Items that have been worn, resized, or altered cannot be returned.
  • Home Goods (Furniture, Rugs, Large Decor): Oversized home goods returns may incur return shipping fees and/or restocking fees. These charges will be indicated on the product page.
  • Beauty and Personal Care Items: Due to hygiene regulations, opened or used skincare, makeup, and personal care products cannot be returned.
  • Customized/Personalized Items: Any customized or personalized products are final sale and are not eligible for return unless defective.

Items Not Eligible for Return:

  • Final Sale Items: Styles marked as "Final Sale" are not eligible for refund, store credit, exchange, or return.
  • Luxury Items: Items classified as luxury must be returned within 14 days of purchase, as noted on the product page.
  • Intimates: All intimates are considered final sale and cannot be returned.

If your item does not meet the above criteria or if your return window has expired without prior authorization from our Customer Service team, your return will be forfeited and handled at Lord & Taylor’s sole discretion.

Important Note on International Vendors
Some of our vendors are located internationally, and return shipping fees for these items may be significantly higher due to their international return locations. These vendors are marked with an "INTL" tag on the product page. Please consider this before purchasing, as the return cost will be deducted from your refund.

How to Start a Return
All eligible returns must be returned to the facility they were shipped from. If you are returning multiple items, you may need to initiate separate returns and use different return labels for each item.
Our returns center will print the correct number of labels based on the original shipping facility. Please ship each item separately using the corresponding label.

Instructions:

  1. Enclose the packing slip inside the package.
  2. Attach the prepaid, pre-addressed Return Label to the outside of the box.
  3. Drop the package at your closest carrier location.

All contiguous U.S. orders will have the option of purchasing a return label, with the fee deducted from your refund if the provided label is used. Alternatively, you may return items using a traceable method at your expense. Lord & Taylor is not responsible for lost or damaged packages.

At this time, exchanges are only available for the same product in a different size or color, if available. We do not offer exchanges for different products.

Refund
Once your items are inspected, you'll get your refund typically within 10-14 business days from the date your package is received. You will not be notified when your package arrives to our facility, so we do recommend that you save your tracking number so that you can track your package. This will also help you time the processing of your refund. If you do not receive an email notification from us within 14 business days from the day your package arrived to our facility, please contact our customer service team at cs@lordandtaylor.com.
The return label fee, which is calculated at the time you initiate the return, will be deducted from your original merchandise amount refund in addition to any customs & duties fees, if applicable. Original shipping and handling fees are non-refundable.

Package Protection

LOST, STOLEN, DAMAGED PACKAGE CLAIM
Package Protection covers your order for every major issue that can occur during shipping: loss, damage, theft, wrong items, defective items and missing items. Your order will be protected against loss, damage, theft, wrong items, defective items and missing items. If something goes wrong during shipping, you can quickly file a claim in a few clicks. You'll receive a refund or reshipment if your claim is approved.
All claims will be reviewed before approval and are eligible for up to a maximum coverage of $5,000 per claim.
If Package Protection is removed at checkout and/or not applied to your order, Lord & Taylor is not liable for any lost, damaged, or stolen packages.

When Is A Shipment Deemed 'Lost'?
We use the same rules that the carriers use for defining a lost shipment:
Carrier status states "delivered", but you have not received it. Allow up to 7 business days but no longer than 15 days for US domestic shipments for your shipment to be delivered. Sometimes the carriers prematurely mark shipments as delivered and then issue a redelivery, and it then turns up in a secure location at your property or perhaps may be delivered to the wrong address that is caught and corrected by the carrier. If your carrier status is not "delivered" and your tracking has not updated for 2 weeks from the ship date.
Shipping carriers may classify these situations as a ‘delay’ if there is a high number of shipments in their network, and they are aware of delays. As long as there are no known carrier delays, we will offer a refund or replacement right away.

What Is Considered 'Damaged'?
• Items arrive damaged in transit: interior packaging is torn, bent, broken etc.
• Some of your order is missing due to the box/envelope having broken open during transit.

What Is Not Covered Package Protection?
• Missing parcels or redelivery fees due to invalid/incorrect address information provided when order was placed
• Delays in transit
• Orders that have not shipped yet
• International orders stuck in customs - we can't be held responsible for customs delays. Please get in touch with your chosen carrier and pay required customs fees. If you refuse customs payments, we are not liable for any return to sender fees and these will be deducted from any refund that may be due
• Items that are returned for a refund or exchange through our returns & exchanges portal
• If you requested items to be left at a location other than the address you supplied with your order and they go missing - this waives the right to any claim as per carrier terms and conditions
